Hokulea Visit to Panama – From Hawaii to the World

In January  2017, Four Worlds Foundation leaders helped welcome the important visit of our Indigenous brothers from Hawaii who came sailing into Panama City with their traditional Hokulea Canoe, under the command of  Captain Nainoa Thompson. This passage of the Hokulea Canoe through Panama  occurred after more than a year of navigation around the world using traditional seafaring methods of the Polynesians, A traditional ceremony was held with the indigenous Ngobes, Emberas and Gunas to memorize and celebrate this event..
